If your home has a crawl space it's important that you insulate it. This will help you save on energy expenses.

In addition to prevent energy from leaking through the floor you can help prevent air leakage and control moisture by insulating the crawl space.

Crawl spaces come in two varieties which are vented and unvented.

* Vented. The crawl space is equipped with vents. When open they help control the moisture that occurs in the crawl space.

* Unvented. A crawl space without vents added.

These two types of crawl spaces are insulated entirely differently.
